Nepal’s eastern and far eastern Himalayan region offers some mind-blowing adventures into the remote and hidden areas, ventured and explored by very few trekkers due to its natural isolation and remoteness. The home to the World’s tallest, 3rd and 5th mountains has wonderful valleys and mountain vicinity filled with remote and culturally unspoiled villages to see and learn about the life, religion and mysteries they carry. The area is accessible only with a flight or a long road drive from its capital city Kathmandu. This area lies in the eastern border corner of Nepal within a virgin wilderness, which limits the facilities of good lodges and food.

All treks and mountaineering groups to Kanchenjunga and Makalu require full camping expeditions, having your accommodation, kitchen crew, and food and drinks, allowing only the determined trekkers and mountaineering groups. The Happy Feet Mountaineers provide an excellent camping facility with a separate unit of mobile Kitchen, cook, and kitchen staff accompanied by expert guides and strong porters to ferry the logistics.

Trekking in the Kanchenjunga and Makalu areas requires more than two weeks to reach the close vicinity of high Himalayan peaks within the sheer wilderness and tranquil environment. Most of the trekking period involves high-altitude walks and crossing above 5,000-meter passes, rewarding you with endless views of mountains and beautiful landscapes while enjoying the walk around serene and fresh areas of the Himalayas and away from the main flow of trekkers.
