I have travelled with Happy Feet Mountaineers Pvt. Ltd. on trekking adventures in Nepal over the past nine years. We have been to many different parts of the country, from Kanchenjunga in the far east to the remote, high desert of the Upper Dolpo in the far west, and many places in between, such as Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Upper Mustang, Rolwaling Valley, Annapurna region and more. In Sept 2022, a group of us started a trek to the Upper Dolpo region of Nepal with Happy Feet Mountaineers.  The trip was well organised with a great team of support people. But a trekking company like Happy Feet is best judged not when things go well but when they go wrong. Sometimes, at the start of the trip, I got Dengue Fever. I got to the point that I asked to be evacuated back to Kathmandu. Before I had spoken to the insurance company back home via satellite phone, Happy Feet had already organised a helicopter, which arrived promptly and took me straightaway to Nepal’s premier hospital, where Ngima Dendi Sherpa, managing director of Happy Feet, awaited me to help with any check-in procedures. Ngima visited me each of the 5 days I was in the hospital and could not have been more helpful. So, if you want to trek in Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan, I can wholeheartedly recommend Happy Feet – a fantastically well-run company!
