Trekking Information

Most importantly, all travellers travelling in Nepal are kindly requested to bear in mind that Nepal is a mountainous country. Some villages are incredibly remote and isolated from modern facilities. Even in its capital city or major towns, most available facilities are not compared to Western countries. Accommodation facilities for tourists are upgraded from every level, and there are quality services on all major trekking routes. The Mugu, Rara, Dolpo, Mustang, Nar-Phu, Manaslu, Gorkha, Rolwaling, Peekye, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, and trekking regions of Tibet and Bhutan are not for luxury hotels expecting tourists. For the above areas, except in some parts, the entire trail needs to use tented camps and all meals are prepared by our mobile kitchen staff. All required supplies for trekking, except fresh vegetables and available local products, are transported from Kathmandu.

Altitude problems

Most first-time travellers to Nepal and Tibet seem pretty concerned about altitudes. This is because an adventure involving fast hiking in deep mountain valleys above 3,500m could be strenuous. But so far, most visitors have only minor effects from the altitude. However, we advise the guests, especially those with known heart or lung or blood diseases and pneumonia, to consult their doctor before travelling.
