Everest Climbing Preparation

Climbing Everest itself is not an impossible term for anyone, but the main challenge remains within our body and mind and the whole natural system of our body. The natural system of our body and mind need to be informed and tamed correctly so that they get associated comfortably with our plan in any adverse condition the mountain environment could create. If one wishes to climb a mountain in the Himalayas, then one needs to be involved in several walking and climbing activities, in the Himalayas itself, before deciding on Everest. One needs to test the body and mental ability in the local environment of the Himalayas by climbing a 6000 metres peak, then 7000-metre peak, then an 8000 metres peak and Everest. Such preparatory climbing activities will help one enjoy the local nature, culture, and geography. At the same time, they will achieve climbing experience in the Himalayan massif and gain physical, mental and environmental confidences, which are the critical requirement for climbing Everest. After such preparatory achievements, the summit chances are higher, in any conditions, than climbers who did not take prior undertakings in the Himalayas. This preparatory undertaking will help create your climbing atmosphere, including a guide who will know all your requirements. The local outfitter and cook will know the supply required, especially for you. The other two major preparatory requirements are economy and family permissions.

Economic preparation

To undertake an Everest Expedition, one needs to allow a minimum of $ 50,000 to an average of $ 100000. For some climbers, such an amount is comfortable, but for many, such an undertaking is a significant economic matter, and any swift decision may affect other regularly required financial flows. Therefore, to avoid such risk, one needs to plan the goal at least four years in advance so that the economy and other preparatory requirements are always satisfactory to achieve your dream mission.

Family permission

Undertaking a 7000 to 8000 metres mountain requires money and significant timing, which could be a problem to manage in the office and with the family. Mountaineering is a risk-involved avocational activity; therefore, any family at home will not take it as a comfortable movement of their dear. However, if one is a frequent traveller in the mountain, preparing for the Everest climbing until then, the families get accustomed to such a dream plan and help with comfortable permission and stay back happy. Such an atmosphere will comfort the climber and have less homesickness and other mental issues. The families should inform correctly about the local outfitter, who is the key person to liaison between the climbers on the mountain and families at home.

Local Outfitter

Preparing an Everest Expedition from Nepal (south-face) or Tibet (north-face) needs a massive supply to the mountain bases and higher camps. The local outfitter is the key to making the expedition run without logistic hassles and legal issues. We supply all logistical requirements well before the climbing members land in Kathmandu. The tented camp at base camp, with all tents, will be fully set up a week before expedition members arrive at base camp. The member’s luggage with all climbing gear is sent directly to base camp to be at base camp before the expedition member reaches. Our trusted and most experienced climbing guides get assigned for guiding service for the expedition period; it also depends on how long in advance you will book your expedition. All paperwork for climbing permissions proceeds well before the expedition members arrive in Kathmandu. A guide in the group and one porter for every two members will be in service for the trekking period to and from the base camp. The porter carries all your baggage; you must have your small day pack for your valuables and a water bottle. The trekking part accommodations get booked in its best hotel and lodges en route on a full board basis for going up and returning. Our-own mountaineering cook and kitchen boys prepare the base camp meals, ensure that the supplied foods are fresh, dated and placed safely in the mountain environment, and take care of meal and water hygiene. Water hygiene is always important and needs special care from our kitchen crew.

NOTE: Foreign companies can only organise mountaineering expeditions in the Nepal Himalayas with a Local Mountaineering or Trekking Agency registered under the Ministry of Tourism in Nepal. So contracting directly with a Nepali Mountaineering or Trekking Agency minimises travel expenses.

Document

Travel insurance with complete coverage of climbing risk, including medical and helicopter rescue, is mandatory. We suggest investing some money on top of insurance and securing the financial risk covering the before and after trip cancellations. In addition, other essential documents include a valid passport, a certification of being medically fit to climb mountains, and air tickets with date-changing facilities.
