About Sun Kosi River Expedition
Sun Koshi River is one of the famous rivers due to its long duration of rafting from starting point to the end at low-warm subtropical areas of Nepal, the far east Terai belt. The Sun Koshi River Expedition begins with a short drive from Kathmandu to Dholaghat. From Dolalghat, we start paddling, enjoying various scales of bouncing waves and rapids through a scenic river gorge between high green hills with rural farm villages. The Sun Koshi River Expedition ends at Chattare or near Kosi Barrage, a massive river dam on the Gangetic plains of Terai. The return trip requires a long drive or flight from Biratnagar. However, there are also options for extending the journey and enjoying a wildlife safari at Kosi Tappu Wildlife Reserves.
