About Rock and Wall Climbing
Rock climbing sites in Kathmandu and beyond the city:
- Nagarjun Forest Rock: A 30 minutes’ drive from Kathmandu and 3-4 hours climbing courses
- Hattiban rock climbing site: a 1-hour drive from Kathmandu and 3-4 hours of climbing courses.
- Bimal Nagar Rock climbing site: A 20-minutes drive from Bandipur with 3-4 hours climbing courses
- Nagarkot rock climbing site: A 2-hour drive and 3-4 hours climbing courses.
- Namche Bazaar: Bouldering area with 3-4 hours courses climbing courses.
Besides the above locations, we train other areas around Langtang, Chiwang (Solukhumbu), Rolwaling Valley, Thame and Phortse etc. Outside or inside Kathmandu valley requires a drive/ride to the end of the road and hike to the rock-climbingsite and back. Pack lunch, water, first-aid medical kit, and medicine required for the trip get provided by Happy Feet Mountaineers. In addition, the participants have to bring their rock-climbing equipment like harnesses, two pairs of carbineers (with lock/without locks), gloves, climbing shoes (well-fitting in the feet) for the climb.We provide main rope, rock pitons, friends and other technical items.
Advanced Rock Climbing for Multi-Day Trips can also be organized. For more challenging Rock-climbing skills, we operate with multi-day trips to Bimal Nagar near Bandipur on route Pokhara with the help of a professional trainer, including logistic service. Other sites requiring long-distance travel by drive or air are rock climbing in Chiwang, Solukhumbu, ten days, Rolwaling valley 15 days, Thame of Phortse 15 days etc.
