The Kali Gandaki gets joined from various tributaries, flows through the world’s deepest gorge between Mount Dhaulagiri and Annapurna, and runs further downstream with an exciting and enjoyable river expedition. The Kaligandaki River expedition starts from Pokhara with a few hours’ drive to the rafting starting point and floats through various rapids and waves until near Palpa or Syangja districts. The overnights get spent on soft sandy beaches with campfires and celebrations in the tented camps. Ending the rafting trip, we drive back to Kathmandu or Pokhara with options to stop in Chitwan for a wildlife safari.
