About Chandragiri Hill Tour
At an altitude of 2551 metres above sea level, Chandragiri Hill, surrounded by lush temperate vegetation, majestically rising on the western horizon of Kathmandu Valley, is the fourth highest hill that has protected the Kathmandu valley since an unknown period. Recently, it has been developed as a sightseeing hill station for the people of Kathmandu Valley with a cable car service to the hilltop; the Chandragiri hilltop has a luxurious five-star resort. It is a distance of 7 kilometres from the centre of Kathmandu and then a quick cable car ride that enables one to enjoy the panoramas of the Himalayan range for which Nepal is known in the World. With a binocular, one can even see Mount Everest! Those willing to hike can walk just from the cable car’s base, which takes 3 hours uphill.
The Chandragiri Hill’s summit is a recently developed site with a temple dedicated to Shiva, a Hindu God, restaurants and a five-star resort. It is recommendable for those who travel with kids and older adults who cannot take a hiking trip but are still looking for a view-finding place to experience some of Nepal’s geographical structure and Himalayan sceneries.
