From the plains of terai to the Base Camp of Mount Everest
This 16 days magical tour to Nepal and Tibet begins with an arrival flight to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. In Kathmandu, we take relaxing sightseeing tours in its world-famous medieval villages with the largest historical monuments and shrines ever built. We then take a drive to Pokhara, the most beautiful city of Nepal, in front of Mount Annapurna and extend to Chitwan National Park, one of the most famous and oldest National Park, listed as Asia’s best National Park for wildlife, located in the subtropical lowlands Terai belts of South-Central Nepal; been listed as a World Heritage site since 1984. These tour days are also essential to obtain the Tibet Visa, which takes three business days and is the standard and fastest procedure for all nationals entering Tibet/China from Nepal.
Then, we take a flight to Lhasa and spend a few days there, visiting the main sacred places, such as the Jokhang Temple, the Potala Palace Monastery, and some great monasteries, such as Drepung and Sera.
On the way to Kathmandu, we stop in the main cities of Tibet, Gyantse, and Shigatse and visit the most important monasteries such as Kubum Chorten, Tashilhunpo and Sakya and reach the Base Camp of Mount Everest Base Camp on the North Face, one of the most famous mountain bases in the Himalayas! We admire the mighty growth of the highest mountain on earth, Mount Everest or the Third Pole, take essential photographs of a lifetime’s memory and return to Kathmandu by road, where we end our fabulous tour.
